From the USA to Sicily: The Perfect Engagement
When Matt reached out from the United States, he already knew one thing for sure he wanted to plan the most romantic Sicily proposal for Tori. As a Taormina engagement photographer, I often meet couples from all over the world who choose this beautiful island for their destination proposal in Italy, but this one felt especially heartfelt.
Our conversations started weeks before their arrival. Together, we explored a few proposal ideas in Sicily but in the end, Matt decided on something intimate and timeless: a surprise proposal in the gardens of the Grand Hotel Timeo, one of the most iconic Taormina wedding venues overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Etna.
The Charm of Grand Hotel Timeo
The day of the proposal was filled with excitement. The Grand Hotel Timeo, with its panoramic terrace and lush gardens, is one of the most romantic places in Italy to propose. When the moment came with his heart full of excitement, Matt got down on one knee and presented Tori with the ring, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their love story.
As their Sicily engagement photographer, I captured every second of that magical moment, and right after, we continued with a two-hour couple photoshoot. During the session, we had the chance to chat and get to know each other better. They shared their life stories, how they met, and their journey together. A few days later, I delivered the full photo gallery. They were thrilled with the results and even started considering hiring me for their wedding in the United States.
